BRITISH ASSOCIATION FOR IMMEDIATE CARE
Founded in 1977
The British Association for Immediate Care is a charitable company limited by guarantee registered with the Charity Commission and with Companies House.
Members are drawn from a number of the health care professions, particularly medicine, nursing and paramedicine, as well as others who work or volunteer within pre-hospital care. Some have been members since our inception in 1977 and many have been long term members. Contrary to popular opinion, not all of our members are immediate care responders in an affiliated scheme.
The Association provides a focus for those interested in developing their pre-hospital practice and supports this through its annual conference and a range of internationally recognised courses. Of course no membership association would be complete without a range of discounts and other benefits and we have those too. these include discounts for all of our members on all of our events as well as arrangements with industry leading suppliers, vehicle discounts and an insurance offering.
As a charity our governance arrangements are an important part of our accountability to the relevent authorities, our trustees, the membership and our funding partners.
